Abstract

Digital transformation in the current context is driving the updating of curricula and professional profiles in the field of education. Education degrees face new demands integrated with digital skills and the management of technological environments. The objective of this research was to analyze the scientific evidence on the demands of the digital labor market for education professionals. The methodology is based on a systematic review following the PRISMA approach. Information sources were consulted in the open-access databases SciELO, Redalyc, and Google Scholar. Inclusion criteria considered articles published between 2021 and 2025; from these, 11 articles in Spanish and English were selected. Articles published before 2021 were excluded. The study concludes that the main demands of the digital job market for professionals in education sciences are: Technical and pedagogical proficiency in digital tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual platforms, and collaborative tools; pedagogical and didactic integration for designing digital educational experiences; critical and ethical digital competence for managing information; and the ability to adapt and innovate in the face of rapid technological change, with continuous training as an employability requirement to ensure ongoing professional development and relevance.
