The integration of interactive digital technologies in early childhood education has gained increasing relevance due to their potential to strengthen fundamental cognitive skills during early learning stages. In this context, the present study aimed to analyze the implementation of interactive digital tools as a pedagogical strategy to enhance logical thinking in Early Childhood Education II students. The research was conducted using a mixed-methods approach with a quantitative predominance, applying a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test. The sample consisted of 178 children aged 4 to 5 years from public educational institutions located in the provinces of El Oro, Los Ríos, and Guayas in Ecuador. The intervention involved a didactic sequence based on the use of interactive digital tools, including visual programming environments, educational robotics, and digital sequencing activities. The results revealed significant improvements in logical thinking skills, particularly in sequencing processes, pattern recognition, and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, high levels of motivation and engagement were observed during technology-mediated learning activities. The findings suggest that the pedagogical integration of interactive digital tools can significantly contribute to the development of logical thinking in early childhood education when implemented through appropriate teaching strategies and effective teacher mediation. Therefore, this study provides empirical evidence on the potential of educational technologies to support cognitive development in early learning contexts and proposes pedagogical guidelines for their implementation in educational settings.
