Potencial económico de la miel de abeja sin aguijón en cosmética: revisión sistemática de su viabilidad técnica, comercial y productiva

Resumen

La miel de abejas sin aguijón presenta una composición diferenciada y propiedades bioactivas que podrían favorecer su incorporación en productos cosméticos, en virtud de que su variabilidad y la escasez de evaluaciones comerciales limitan su aplicación productiva, analizar los resultados técnicos, comerciales y competitivos asociados con la innovación de cosméticos formulados con miel de abejas sin aguijón, Materiales y métodos: se realizó una revisión sistemática mediante búsquedas en PubMed, Scopus y Web of Science de estudios originales publicados entre 2021 y 2026, se aplicaron criterios de elegibilidad acordes con el marco PICOC y se efectuó una síntesis narrativa estructurada de 15 investigaciones debido a la heterogeneidad de especies, métodos y desenlaces, la evidencia mostró actividad antioxidante, antimicrobiana, antiinflamatoria y citoprotectora, además de viabilidad para incorporar la miel en nanoemulsiones e hidrogeles, así mismo, la composición y el desempeño variaron según la especie, el origen, la temporada, el sistema de producción, el procesamiento y el almacenamiento, mientras que los estudios no reportaron directamente ventas, rentabilidad, acceso a mercados ni disposición a pagar, la miel meliponícola constituye una materia prima prometedora para cosméticos diferenciados, por ende, su desarrollo requiere autenticación, estandarización, control de calidad, pruebas de estabilidad, seguridad dermatológica, eficacia instrumental y aceptación sensorial, de esta forma será posible determinar si las ventajas técnicas se traducen en competitividad y fortalecimiento de las cadenas productivas locales
